Two exciting opportunities have arisen for a Social Worker to work within the Adult Safeguarding Triage Team. Both roles are full time permanent positions.

The role is to work within a busy team in making decisions as to whether the criteria for enquiries under S42(2) of the Care Act 2014 have been met, through gathering information, working closely with partner agencies when there are allegations of abuse and neglect and then making the decision as to what the follow up actions and professional recomendations are. You will need to demonstrate the ability to ensure that adults at risk have their views and wishes considered when decisions are being made. This busy team receives a wide variety of referrals, has a short timescale for making decisions about necessary actions. You will also support and cause section 42 enquiries to our partner agencies when needed. You will also be required to support other members in the team and offer advice and guidance to professionals through our duty process. You will also be expected to support students who spend time with us as part of their training.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of adult safeguarding, being able to work in accordance with the Care Act 2014, Making Safeguarding Personal and other relevant legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

In recognition of the vital contribution you make, we offer an attractive package of benefits including:

  • Dedicated Practice Educators
  • Regular case and reflective supervision
