Netone Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to recruit a highly motivated, outstanding and results oriented individual to fill the following position
Responsibility
The incumbent will be responsible to the Billing Manager
Key Job Purpose
The individual shall be responsible for defining, implementing strategies and processes to facilitate the decoding, formatting, encoding, aggregation and distribution of Network and Business related files to various downstream and Third Party Systems
Principal Job Responsibilities
Designs, implements and provides support to the Mediation system, and its respective peripherals
Works with Technical, Third parties and Network vendors to understand Source File specifications and data requirements for downstream and third party systems
Creates and maintains file Distribution Architectures and High level designs to enable the development of Mediation systems covering multiple domains listed above
Designs and validates HIDs with stakeholders
Produces detailed Billing Mediation Functional Requirements, documentation and presents the solution to the stake holders in the business and the development & test teams
Uses various database tools and scripting languages in Unix for the analysis of data from the network or from other business systems
Draws up preventive maintenance tasks on the Billing Mediation system so that the occurrence of faults are minimised
Receives files and data from source nodes for further distribution to several downstream nodes
Maintains reconciliation workbook between source and distributed files and data streams and ensures zero variance at all times
Works and coordinates with key stakeholders such as Revenue Assurance, Data Warehouse, Finance, Third Parties and external vendors with purpose of the seamless provision of accurate and complete data
Ensures system Housekeeping including Capacity, License threshold Management and Network availability
Designs, generates and submits reports for business decision making
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Computer Science, BEng Hons Electronics/ Engineering or equivalent
A project management Qualification is an added advantage
Three to five years relevant working experience in Telecommunications Billing & VAS
Knowledge of Billing & VAS systems, oracle SQL Linux
Knowledge and appreciation of different subsection in telecommunications
Competencies
Must have demonstrable skills in Billing, IN & VAS – software and hardware
Must be familiar with integration activities and procedures
Ability to analyse and deal with complex Billing, IN & VAS issues is needed
Must be innovative and business oriented person with a thorough grounding in business operations management and dynamics
Must have team leadership skills
Experience in business process improvement or process implementation is required
Computer literacy (MS Office) is essential amongst other
