Family Aid Caring Trust (FACT) is a Christian national development NGO based in Zimbabwe. FACT implements sustainable development initiatives to improve people’s livelihood, Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV Prevention, HIV and AIDS care and support as well as health activities. FACT is Sub-Recipient to the Global Fund New Funding Model (NFM3) implementing Resilient Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH): Community
Systems Strengthening Module. Implementation is through Sub Sub recipients in 20 Global fund districts. FACT Zimbabwe is also implementing directly in Gokwe North, Kariba, Kwekwe, Nyanga, Bikita and Chimanimani. The organization is seeking staff as detailed below;
Position: District Accountability Framework Officer
Reporting to: National Accountability Framework Officer
District: Kariba
Purpose of the position
The District Accountability Framework Officer (DAFO) works
under the supervision of the National Accountability Framework Officer in ensuring that all GF interventions in the targeted districts are coordinated and implemented smoothly to ensure that the project achieve its desired outcomes. As such the District Accountability Officer is expected to lead in recruitment of community cadres, training of community cadres, engagement of all district level key stakeholders, and ensuring that all data collected in his/her respective districts is used for decision making.
Roles and responsibilities
- Community Mobilization – Ensure relevant and target population are identified and recruited to participate in the NFM project and to benefit from the services provided under the NFM3 project in line with terms and conditions of the grant.
- Grassroots project supervision
- Training, Capacity building and reporting
- Stakeholder engagement
Experience and qualifications
- Minimum of university degree in Social Science or Health Promotion or any other related degree.
- 2 years relevant experience in advocacy project or Community Systems Strengthening interventions.
- Experience in leading community lead advocacy or monitoring and evaluation.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
