REQUIREMENTS
- The applicant must hold a BSc Hons Degree in Sports Science and Coaching having passed with a class 2.1 or better.
- Having other qualifications in Safety and Health, coach education
qualifications in specific sports codes, adapted sport coaching, strength and conditioning planning and implementation will be an added advantage. - The applicant must be able to service technical requirements in the Department of Sports Science and Coaching by ensuring the setting up of equipment for theoretical, practical lectures as well as research that the academic staff in the department may carry out.
- The incumbent must be able to measure and test utilising the different equipment in the department and other equipment that the department may hire.
- Field based methods of measurement must also be part of what this candidate is familiar with. The applicant must be computer literate and be able to utilise computer software in the department and he/she must be able to assist students when they require technical assistance.
- The equipment in the department shall be ordered and accounted for by the technician at all times.
