Job Description
Whitecross Pharmacy is a leading pharmacy committed to providing quality healthcare services to our customers.
We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant with work experience and knowledge about OTC (over-the-counter) medications to join our Borrowdale team. The Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to the pharmacist in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of working experience and at least 1 reference, as well as knowledge about OTC medications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescription medications and OTC medications.
- Provide advice and information to customers about OTC medications and health-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and stock levels.
- Handle cash and credit card payments and process them accurately.
- Order and receive stock and ensure that it is stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints or concerns.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in pharmacy assistance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in pharmacy assistance.
- At least 1 year of working experience.
- At least 1 reference.
- Good knowledge of OTC medications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
