Amnesty International Zimbabwe

Amnesty International Zimbabwe is bringing together a pool of young, emerging leaders aged 18 to 24 years for an intensive, 5-day intensive training on leadership and campaigning for human rights. This is a unique opportunity for young people to become human rights champions and play an active role in creating a more equitable world.
The program targets 20 young leaders in Zimbabwe from diverse cultural and interdisciplinary backgrounds.
Prospective participants are required to meet the following criteria and attributes:
- Aged between 18 and 24 years.
- Active member of a community, leading and/ or organising various grassroot community human rights and social justice initiatives.
- Passionate about human rights.
- Apolitical.
- Innovative, dynamic, and demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Should have completed at least one human rights course on the Amnesty International Human Rights Academy
- Available to participate in a 5-day residential training program.
- Candidates from marginalised communities are encouraged to apply.

If you meet the above criteria, send your motivational letter and CV, detailing how you have worked towards promoting and protecting human rights in your community. Attach a reference letter highlighting why you should be considered for this training. This letter should be signed by a person of good standing such as a mentor, headmaster, teacher, community leader, priest/ pastor, leader of a community-based organisation or individual linked to community initiatives.
