About
Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a not-for-profit human development organisation which is registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO 17/22). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high impact integrated health interventions with local communities while working with and strengthening existing institutions.
The Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe women (DREAMS)-Reignite Innovate Sustain and Empower (RISE) Program aims to prevent new HIV infections and reduce vulnerability among Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC), OVC caregivers and Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in Zimbabwe. The DREAMS-RISE program is being implemented in priority high HIV burden districts in Zimbabwe. ZHI’s primary role is to deliver a comprehensive curriculum on HIV prevention, gender norms and social asset building targeted at AGYW in school, out of school and their sexual partners at community level. ZHI’s core thrust in the DREAMS-RISE Program is to keep girls and young women HIV Free through supporting them to; Stay in school; Prevent early pregnancies; Prevent sexual violence; Access Post violence care; Reduce child marriage. DREAMS-RISE program provides a comprehensive, multi-sectoral package of core interventions to address key factors that make girls and young women particularly vulnerable to HIV. These include structural factors, such as gender-based violence, exclusion from economic opportunities, and a lack of access to secondary school. DREAMS-RISE program layers multiple interventions at once so that AGYW are surrounded with critical support to keep them safe from HIV and other risks.

Basic Function
The District Facilitator (DF) will work under the technical guidance of the District Project Coordinator (DPC) and supervision of Assistant Program Officers (APO). The role will facilitate activities to the district based technical teams and community cadres in discharging their functions to deliver program results effectively and efficiently. The DF will support the implementation of program activities that entail identifying, mobilizing, and recruiting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) into clubs and ensuring access to critical services. The DF will support and supervise out of school (OOS) club supervisors and facilitators to deliver a Health for Life (H4L) curriculum according to the DREAMS RISE program guidelines. S/he will also directly support program monitoring through tracking target achievement, data collection and reporting.

Job Description
The specific roles and responsibilities of the DF will include the following: Support the Assistant Program Officers (APO) and the district based technical teams to implement the DREAMS RISE program activities effectively and efficiently to achieve program results; Support the community cadres in identification of eligible AGYW for enrolment into the DREAMS RISE program, and mobilization of the AGYW to participate in asset building clubs; Ensure that all AGYW recruited and enrolled into the DREAMS RISE program within their jurisdiction receive primary service packages and complete the sessions within 12 weeks of enrolment; Facilitate delivery of HIV prevention evidence-based intervention (EBI) curriculum sessions to the AGYW in the natural settings; Facilitate service layering by ensuring that all AGYW enrolled into the program receive secondary services in a timely manner, in addition to the primary service package; Provide on-job trainings, mentorship, and support supervision to community cadres within their jurisdiction to deliver various need-based program interventions to the AGYW whilst ensuring implementation fidelity in accordance with DREAMS program standards and guidelines; Facilitate bi-directional service linkages and referrals for AGYW; Facilitate monthly feedback and update meetings with community cadres to review program progress, provide programmatic updates and feedback; Facilitate program monitoring by ensuring weekly submission of relevant program reports for entry into the program database.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Must have a proven track record of being able to work in a team; Strong facilitation and training skills; Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines; Ability to quickly adapt to new program changes; Ability to develop detailed workplans to guide activity implementation; Strong supervision and mentorship skills; Proficiency in MS Office applications (i.e., MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.).

Qualifications And Experience
A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, community development, public health, or any relevant discipline;
At least one year of relevant hands-on work experience in implementing HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs at the community level;
Experience in implementing the DREAMS program as a facilitator;
Experience in community mobilization and engagement;
Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken) as well as local language(s).
