Unki Mines (Private) Limited, has an exciting position for  an Scheduler Engineering in the IPOM Department, who will ensure that all work packages are scheduled and completed at the right time, secondly, to make the most efficient use of resources. Allocate resources for all approved work to be completed at the right time. Produce an optimised schedule, for approved work orders, that will identify business unit and resource requirements for every non-urgent task to be completed by the required by Date.

Job Description

  • Develop schedules with a view of a 6 week period (mining and maintenance) to safely, efficiently and cost effectively meet short term production objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise to production teams to ensure effective optimization of mining operations, planning processes and capabilities.
  • Manage work management schedulers to deliver section business targets including quality and volume and al related mining tasks.
  • Identify and schedule all infrastructure requirements to execute mine plan Continuous Improvement Contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimization initiatives to enhance mining processes.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the mine planning field to initiate and implement projects and improvement initiatives toward contributing to business profitability and growth.
  • Routine work – defines the start time, sequence of execution and resource allocation of tasks.
  • Ensure that the expenditure remains within the approved budget to ensure effective cost control and savings.
  • Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with service providers, as well as other functions responsible for ensuring that business needs are met and employees are satisfied

Qualifications

  • 5 “O” levels
  • Diploma/Certificate in mining
  • Must be familiar with risk assessments safe working procedures
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • 2 Years Mining/Processing experience
