Security Investigator Supervisor- Employees of Mission

Duties

Incumbent performs full range of investigative functions to include personal security, background investigations, criminal investigations, and coordinates with Zimbabwean police. Incumbent also serves as the direct supervisor to one junior Security Investigator. Supervision is provided by the Regional Security Officer and/or Assistant Regional Security Officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

5 years of progressively responsible experience in investigative work with a police, military, or private security organization is required, with 2 years in an office setting where clerical/reporting is required.

Education Requirements:

Two years of college level work in criminal justice is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:

Level III Good working knowledge of English and
Level III Good working knowledge of Shona/Ndebele is required.
Must be able to prepare reports in English.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Distinguishes between conclusions and facts, and reports facts accurately and in a concise, logical, and objective manner. Ability to identify information of evidentiary value and to follow chains of evidence. Must be able to deal effectively with others and to gain their cooperation, especially in conflict resolution. Ability to use basic computer software to compile reports and maintain databases.
