Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our busy but friendly Women’s Clinic outpatient area and support with all aspects of Women’s Health including antenatal care and outpatient clinical gynaecology procedures.

This role requires someone that exudes our Trust Values: Excellent, Compassionate and Respectful. Although experience is not necessary for this role as full training is provided, having worked in care, or provided care would be advantageous to the role.

Main duties of the job

As a clinic HCA you will be working alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide excellence in care to our patients, this includes:

  • Maintaining the dignity and respect of patients at all times
  • Chaperoning and assisting medical and nursing staff with various clnic sessions
  • Coordinating clinics ensuring patients are prepared for their appointment and seen as quickly as possible
  • Testing blood sugars and urine & accurately record results
  • Under the supervision of a qualified nurse, supporting patients undergoing clinical Procedures ensuring their dignity, respect, comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good level of literacy – demonstrated by minimal/no errors in application
  • Basic computer skills e.g. competent user of Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Has completed Care Certificate

Experience

  • Previous experience in working in a busy environment

  • Previous work experience in Healthcare
