An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker for a Integrated Sexual Health Service within the South Essex based in Basildon.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about sexual health.

The post holder will join an evolving team delivering high standard of service and care to the patients attending our clinics.

If you have been successful at the interview stage, but do not have enough experience for this role, you may be offered a position as a Band 2 Heath Care Assistant Apprentice. As part of the Band 2 HCA role you will be enrolled onto the Apprenticeship scheme, providing you with the opportunity to earn as you learn. This role enables you to gain valuable experience on the wards/community settings whilst working towards gaining your Care Certificate and naturally progressing into the guaranteed Band 3 HCA role.

Main duties of the job

1 x band 3 Clinical Support Worker 37.5 hours per week

The Essex Sexual Health Service in EPUT primarily focuses on the needs of clients as they use the integrated sexual health service and supporting operations to maximise service delivery.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality flexible services and are looking for like-minded people to join our team.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced healthcare assistant with NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent educational qualification in Health and Social Care. We will require you to have developed communication and organisational skills, equally be able to work as part of a team and autonomously under direction. The post holder will be required to work from our Integrated Sexual Health centres during times of operation assisting with organisational set up in all service areas whilst applying a consistent welcoming and helpful presence.

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

Job responsibilities

To welcome clients attending the clinic and deal with face-to-face enquiries from the public about the range of services available.

To set up the reception, waiting and clinical areas, maintaining and recording cleanliness standards and contributing to the smooth running of service.

To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues, report areas of concerns to a clinician.

Complete mandatory training in line with Trust policy and procedures.
