Job Description
Willowvale Motor Industries (Private) Ltd is looking to fill the position of Manufacturing Engineer which has arisen.
The company is looking for a qualified, experienced, and competent person to direct, control, and oversee motor vehicle assembly operations.
More specifically, he/ she will be required to coordinate production and technical activities to achieve the objectives of the company.
Responsibilities
- Sets and monitors systems and procedures for efficient operational control of the department
- Coordinates and submits annual operating and capital budgets
- Controls operating costs
- Monitors assembly activities to ensure production targets are meant within acceptable quality parameters
- Authorises production programs in conjunction with the marketing requirements
- Monitors in-plant damages in terms of costs and replacements
- Monitors all technical and engineering processes and procedures
- Ensures plant and equipment maintenance programs are in place and implemented
- Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
Requirements
- At least five years post qualification
- Proven managerial experience in a motor vehicle assembly environment for at least three years
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- BSc (electrical, mechanical, process or manufacturing) engineering
- MSc/MBA will be advantageous
