Job Description

Willowvale Motor Industries (Private) Ltd is looking to fill the position of Manufacturing Engineer which has arisen.

The company is looking for a qualified, experienced, and competent person to direct, control, and oversee motor vehicle assembly operations.

More specifically, he/ she will be required to coordinate production and technical activities to achieve the objectives of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Sets and monitors systems and procedures for efficient operational control of the department
  • Coordinates and submits annual operating and capital budgets
  • Controls operating costs
  • Monitors assembly activities to ensure production targets are meant within acceptable quality parameters
  • Authorises production programs in conjunction with the marketing requirements
  • Monitors in-plant damages in terms of costs and replacements
  • Monitors all technical and engineering processes and procedures
  • Ensures plant and equipment maintenance programs are in place and implemented
  • Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

Requirements

  • At least five years post qualification
  • Proven managerial experience in a motor vehicle assembly environment for at least three years
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • BSc (electrical, mechanical, process or manufacturing) engineering
  • MSc/MBA will be advantageous
