Community Care Support Worker is a new initiative for Zimbabwe to support mental health care through identifying violent and dangerous activities. The job of the CCSW is to gather information and report to the hub for response as required. Teams are then deployed to indicated spaces to address issues and provide support to community members.
The aim of the initiative is to improve community support to families and entire communities.
This also supports the work of the police and therefore we form a strong part of the Crime Liaison Committee in all of the areas we engage in.
Training will be provided free of charge and reimbursements will be given for all out of pocket expenses.
