The incumbent will report to the Head- Internal Audit
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishing risk-based audit programs.
- Ensuring that audits are carried out in line with the Annual Audit Planning Memorandum.
- Undertake audit tours and audit inspections of all the business activities.
- Evaluate internal controls, procedures and processes.
- Determine compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluation of risk management and Governance processes.
- Perform due diligent audits on all procurements.
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document process.
- Performs follow up on management action items and conducts related follow-ups audits.
- Conduct special investigations audits as assigned byt the Head Internal Audit.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Audit standards, Accounting Standards and Relevant Statutes, Internal Policies and Procedures.
- Sound independent judgement.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management and equivalent.
- A Master’s degree in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, and equivalent is an added advantage.
- Relevant professional affiliation and certification.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in Internal Auditing.
