The Women’s Health Unit is a complex in- patient and out-patient/ day case service for gynaecology patients and is open 7am – 10pm, 7 days a week. The post holder will be expected to work in turn, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
A variety of treatments and procedures are undertaken, including the medical and surgical management of miscarriages and termination of pregnancies.
Applicants must be currently working in a health care setting (or have experience within the past 12 months) and be able to work under their own initiative and as part of the multi-professional team. Experience of caring for patients receiving gynaecology care would be advantageous, but not essential as a full induction period and subsequent support will be in place. Experience of working within both in-patient and out-patient services would also be an advantage.
