Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Caswell Clinic, Medium Secure Forensic Service for a Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join our team.

We are looking for a motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential as well as having a positive attitude to mental health care whilst ensuring individual needs for privacy, dignity, respect and confidentiality are upheld at all times.

Working as a member of the Forensic team will involve working within the guidelines of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and keeping the Recovery ethos at the forefront of nursing care. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this role.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 NVQ in mental health/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Substancial clinical experience working with patients who have complex mental and social needs

Desirable

  • Experience of forensic nursing/managing violence & aggression
