We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing care to our 50 residents in our care home in Camden. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our residents with their daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene, meals, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist residents with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
– Support residents with their mobility, ensuring they are able to move around comfortably and safely.
– Ensure residents are comfortable and well-fed, providing assistance with meals as required.
– Administer medication to residents, following the correct procedures and ensuring accuracy at all times.
– Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the relevant healthcare professionals.
– Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all care provided.
Qualifications:
– NVQ 2 and above in Health and Social Care or related field.
– Willingness to complete an NVQ level 3 course while working.
– At least 2 years of experience in a care home or similar environment.
– Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
– Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
– Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
– A caring and compassionate nature.
Additional Requirements:
– Skilled worker visa sponsorship currently only available to UK residents.
– Overseas candidates may be considered for sponsorship if they have more than 5 years proven experience.
– A DBS check will be required prior to appointment.
