Job Purpose
- The purpose of this job is to perform network surveillance and conduct initial restoration of
network elements before escalating to 2nd level support.
Key Responsibilities - Performs shift handover/takeover procedures and routines.
- Monitors all real–time faults reported by network nodes through network management systems.
- Oversees the dispatch of faults to Field Services according to procedures.
- Handles site access – Reaction system deactivation/activation & logging.
- Complies with access security policy – Network Management Systems.
- Provides regular network updates and broadcasts to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicates networks status updates in line with procedure.
- Creates and submits Trouble Tickets for network Incidents, problems and Customer
- Complaints received to dispatch desk.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- 6 ‘O’ Levels including English, Mathematics and Science.
- 3 Advanced ‘A’ Level passes with a good pass in Mathematics (B or Better) and/or Computer
Science. - A Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in the design and maintenance of certain equipment and network
management. - Written and verbal communication skills.
