Vacancies have arisen within theatre recovery departments for an HCA. This is an exciting opportunity to learn, develop and further your skills in recovery.We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Health care assistants with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our friendly multidisciplinary team within recovery . We have four departments covering a variety of specialties and our focus is in providing excellent, safe patient care. If you have good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast pace, busy environment this is an ideal role for you. You will be required to work flexible shifts, inclusive of weekends. Previous experience is desirable; but we are willing to provide training and support and there will be opportunities to go on to further development roles within Recovery.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview assessment center in person. There is no option for this to be virtual and this will take place on Saturday 20th May 2023.

Main duties of the job

To perform all Health Care Assistant (HCA) duties in support of theatre staff and patients in the peri-operative environment. The role will be worked over a 7 day service provision within our Trust standards and specifications under the direction of the lead Recovery `Practitioner. This role will be fundamental in promoting the highest standards of service delivery and customer care.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • English Language Qualification or Equivalent

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
