Job summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker for full time hours (37.5 hours per week) within the Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient Services on Annwylfan Ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

Main duties of the job

Annwylfan is a 16 bedded Older Adult Mental Health Dementia Assessment ward in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality person centred care. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers and other professionals. You must be an excellent team player, have high levels of motivation and enthusiasm for working in a demanding but rewarding service. You will be joining a team that is passionate and focused on achieving excellence in care delivery, for this challenging and rewarding patient group.

The successful candidate must be able to work flexibility to meet the rotational shift patterns to cover a 24 hour period.

Have an interest in older adult inpatient care and enjoy working in a busy challenging environment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
