Location: Mutare

Purpose of the position

She/he will ensure that all the goods and supplies are received in
accordance with the order specifications, stored safely and handed over as requested. The Stores Assistant responsibilities include receiving goods and supplies from suppliers, recording them, maintaining them in good condition and order before handing them over to the designated recipients. The Stores Assistant should have organizing skills and an inspection mind to ensure all goods and supplies are received in right quantities and quality as specified on the order.

Roles and responsibilities

 Receiving goods and supplies from suppliers
 Inspecting delivered goods and supplies against delivery notes and order before accepting them, to ensure the received goods are of high quality, correct quantity and are as per the specifications on the order.
 Two way matching of delivered goods and supplies and receiving invoices from supplier, logging them and subsequent submission to finance for payment.
 Raising the Goods Received Note(s) in Pastel Evolution in close collaboration with Finance and Administration teams.
 Recording of received goods and supplies in the stock records
 Dispatching goods and supplies based on approved requisitions and updating stores records accordingly.
 Ensures proper house-keeping of the storerooms.
 Arranges all goods and supplies in bins and codes accordingly.
 Ensures goods and supplies are handled properly and stored according to their storage conditions.
 Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels and efficiency dispatching of goods.
 Management of goods and supplies movement by administering asset/goods movement forms in liaising with the security guards to ensure all goods/assets and supplies leaving the premises are duly authorised to safeguard theft of these materials.
 Conduct monthly stock counts

Skills, Experience and qualifications

 A diploma in stores Management or Warehouse Management
 A degree will be an added advantage.
 At least one-year relevant experience.
 Appreciation of safety issues will be an added advantage.
 Supply chain exposure is a definite added advantage
 Computer skills
 Ability to interpret and work in accordance with laid down procedures.
 Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
 Clean class 4 driver’s license
