Family Aid Caring Trust (FACT)

Family Aid Caring Trust (FACT) is a Christian national development NGO based in
Zimbabwe. It implements sustainable development initiatives to improve people’s livelihood,
Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV Prevention, HIV and AIDS care and support as well
as health activities

Reporting to: Programmes Director

Purpose of the position:

The incumbent will be project manager for several FACT projects
and partnerships on HIV, Training and Capacity building, Community Systems Strengthening, Gender and Sexual Reproductive health. Under the direct supervision of the Programmes Director, the person will be responsible for the implementation, coordination, reporting, and oversight of several of FACT projects housed under the Harare regional office. He/she will be responsible for resource mobilization, representation of FACT at meetings and engagements as assigned by the Executive Director. He/ she will work with a wide-ranging team of Organisational staff, SSR staff and funders to ensure that FACT projects implementation and subsequent processes are executed as per plan and are meeting the best standards and
expectations of the funders and the communities. He/ she will be expected to take custody and care of FACT assets and uphold FACT’s image as a leading national CSOs.

Roles and responsibilities:

4.1. Leadership and Support

i. Lead implementation and day to day management of Harare Office projects.
ii. Ensure that project inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes are achieved and contribute to
intended projects impact.
iii. Supervise, advise, and support Projects Officers working on Harare projects.
iv. Advise and support supervisors, stakeholders involved in the projects on meeting project
outcomes.
v. Undertake appropriate communication and dissemination of information to ensure
projects visibility and accountability.

4.2. Monitoring and Evaluation

i. Monitor and evaluate projects for timely implementation and reporting in line with
standards and timelines set by funders.
ii. Strengthen program implementation through evidence generated through the various
M&E and research activities.

4.3. Networking and Partner Relations

i. Uphold regular and open communication with funders, stakeholders, partners, and
communities.
ii. Represent FACT in appropriate coordination fora.
iii. Ensure FACT work is aligned with and promotes FACT vision and mission.
iv. Engage with local CSOs, networks and communities for better program effect and
delivery.

4.4. Resource Mobilisation

Actively participate in both direct and indirect resource mobilization. This involves attending
networking meetings, proposals development and responding and submitting FACT responses to
call for proposals.

Experience and qualifications

5.1. Required Qualifications

 Master’s Degree in relevant discipline (Development, Public health, Social Sciences)
 Post graduate qualifications in M&E, Project Management will be an added advantage.

5.2. Experience

i. A minimum of 4 years in the field of health and or development and within the CSO sector at management level.
ii. Detailed track record in high level budgeting and budget management.
iii. Excellent knowledge of Global Fund, GIZ, UN, and philanthropic organisations focus areas, funding patterns and funding focus and sources.
iv. Detailed track record in resource mobilization and community engagement.
v. Experience with working with MoHCC, UN and Global Fund systems

5.3. Skills / Competences

i. In depth knowledge of national health and community strategies and support frameworks
ii. Detailed appreciation of Global Fund processes and granting frameworks
iii. Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and subsequent professional engagement with funders, stakeholders, and communities.
iv. Detailed and extensive community engagement skills and appreciation of community systems for health and development.
v. High level written and oral communication skills.
vi. Computer Literate and tech savvy
vii. Valid driving license and is prepared to travel extensively in Zimbabwe.
viii. Passionate about research and able to contribute to knowledge management
