Reporting to the Projects and Administration manager, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the storeroom.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.
- Maintains a register of all stock items and keep an accurate inventory record.
- Prepares periodic inventory reports for submission to management.
- Prepares periodic stock counts, book values and reconcile records.
- Manages assets, stores space and initiates the disposal of obsolete items.
- Ensures maintenance of standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Issues stock to departments.
- Supervises and controls the operations of the storeroom.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in stores/warehouse activities.
