Chipinge Town Council

Reports to the Town Planner;

KEY DUTIES

  • Undertaking surveys in town
  • Resolving boundary disputes
  • Executes Field data capturing of the Town utilities and infrastructure
  • Executes Secondary data capturing of the Town utilities and Infrastructure
  • Liaison with the Department of the Surveyor General, and other relevant stakeholders for acquisition of GIS Data
  • Conducts data cleaning and validation of GIS data sets
  • Produces maps when required
  • Ensures data integrity as directed by the Town Planner
  • Implements performance management
  • To carry out any other duty in line with organisational goals as assigned by the Town Planner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 ‘O’ Levels including Maths, English and Science
  • At least National Diploma in Land Surveying or acceptable equivalent from a recognised institution of Higher Learning.
  • A relevant degree qualification is an added advantage
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in land survey
  • Class 4 Driver’s Licence
  • A clean criminal record and service in the Local Government fraternity
  • At least 28 years of age
  • A citizen of Zimbabwe
