UNICEF

Under the guidance and general supervision of the Education Specialist (EDF) P3 level, the Education Specialist (Curriculum & Learning) NO3 supports the development and preparation of the Education (or a sector of) programmes and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the progress of education programmes/projects including the curriculum and learning component within the country programme.

Summary Of Key Functions/accountabilities

Support to programme development and planning
Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
Technical and operational support to programme implementation
Networking and partnership building
Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have;
An advanced (Masters) university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, economics, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.
A minimum of five years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.

Remarks

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
