Job summary
Healthcare Assistant Outpatients
Band: 2 (£20,270-£21,318)
Location: You may be required to work in other designated locations of the Trust as well as your primary base. In particular, flexibility is required across the three main hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital). If your initial location is one of these sites excess travel reimbursement would not apply for a permanent or temporary change of base.
Main duties of the job
We are looking an enthusiastic healthcare assistant to work in the Leicester General Outpatients department.
You will enjoy a challenging varied pace and an exciting working environment caring for a complex workload.
There are four Outpatient departments specialising in Orthopaedics, Surgery, Renal and Transplant, Pain and sleep, Urology and Neurology clinics.
We can offer opportunities to gain knowledge and experience working within a diverse range of specialties.
You will be working closely with nursing and medical staff and be part of the multi-disciplinary team, to provide high quality care to patients and their carer’s. You will need to have healthcare experience, excellent communication skills, positive personality and a mature and professional approach to their work. Computer skills are desirable. You must be able to deal with the public in a sensitive and polite manner, and be flexible in their approach to duties of work.
