ZHI is a Zimbabwean local non-profit human development organization legally established in 2019 and registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation registration number (PVO Number 17/22)
Vision: A world where all populations attain optimal health, wellbeing, and self-sufficiency. ZHI’s major focus includes 1) development and delivery of innovative and sustainable high-impact health solutions in Zimbabwe and 2) work closely with and strengthen communities. ZHI is currently implementing two USAID-funded projects namely, The Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control in Zimbabwe Project (ACCE); and the Re-Ignite, Innovate, Sustain and Empower (RISE) Project. ACCE is implemented across 9 districts (5 in Manicaland and 4 in Midlands). ZHI is currently supporting 9 out of the 16 DREAMS districts across Mashonaland Central, Midlands, Bulawayo, and Matabeleland South provinces.

Scope Of Work

The purpose of this assignment is to document human impact stories of the ZHI ACCE Program. This includes filming, editing and development of 3 short overview/documentary video (maximum 3 minutes each); 20 (twenty) short videos of (beneficiaries, project staff, program components, or achievements), final duration of video should be (30 seconds) each and to capture a minimum of 200 ACCE project Images of high resolution. The videos should be of high-quality resolution and have a voiceover and captions where possible.

The purpose of this assignment is to document the work of ZHI during the ZHI ACCE projects achievements, project components and human impact stories from various perspective (project beneficiaries, program implementers, stakeholders, etc).

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the BDSED and Communications and Advocacy Officer, the consultant will be responsible for the following:

Ensure highest broadcast quality of videography and photography.
Ensure that all requests and instructions from ZHI pertaining to videography and video-editing requirements are fulfilled per agreed timelines.
Ensure that correct video formats are used as requested by ZHI.
Ensure that videos produced for use on the ZHI conference and social media follows the specifications required by ZHI.
Work with the highest professional ethical standards and in keeping with ZHI’s core messages.

Duration

15 working days

This includes travelling to the project sites, communities and health facilities, and national office and stakeholders’ offices, script writing, video filming, photography, and editing.

Deliverables

3 short overview/documentary video (maximum 3 minutes each).
20 (twenty) short videos of (beneficiaries, project staff, program components, or achievements), final duration of video should be (30 seconds) each
A minimum of 200 ACCE story telling project Images and high resolution. The images PVO and videos should be of high-quality resolution and have a voiceover and captions where possible.

Competencies

Ability to film broadcast quality video and audio.
Have Final Cut Pro editing skills (or other professional editing software)
Have knowledge of converting of video files from multiple formats
Have online video publishing and file transfer skills.
Have working knowledge of publishing on social media sites
Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required Experience and Education

Minimum bachelor’s degree in media communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Humanities, Videography, or any other related field
At least 5years experience in video production within the development sector in Zimbabwe and/or region
Experience documenting health programs.
Fluency in English, Shona, and knowledge or other local languages an asset

Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights

In consideration of the fees paid, the consultant expressly assigns to ZHI any copyright arising from the works the consultant produces while executing this contract. The consultant may not use, reproduce, or otherwise disseminate or authorize others to use, reproduce or disseminate such works without prior consent from ZHI.
