Job Description:
Responsible for identifying and procuring suitable solution development software platforms and ensures code quality and standardisation within the team. Collaborate with both internal and external parties to evaluate and recommend the software solutions for strategic initiatives. Research and Development for new and emerging technologies to cater for the short, mid and long- term goals of the organization
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develops plans for Security & Controls, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Regulatory and Audit Compliance in software development methodologies & DevOps processes.
- Manages Innovation projects leading to the implementation and commissioning, maintenance and upgrading of software applications.
- Reviews, interprets and responds to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment customer expectations and current or future ICT capabilities.
- Provides strategic research and development on enterprise technologies to maximize on return on technology investment.
- Oversees the development and implementation of change control processes for the development team to follow.
- Ensures that developed systems adhere to all business policies, standards, specifications and requirements.
- Oversees designs and integration strategies between business systems conforming to software development best-practice and latest technologies.
- Provides research and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Provides ad-hoc reporting and decision support required for management decision processes, strong resources and capacity planning experiences.
- Completes all other related tasks as and when required.
Qualification and Experience:
- A Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science /Software Development or equivalent.
- A post graduate Diploma in software development is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in the Applications Development, testing and Product Development environment.
