Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for developing operational systems, that underpins the company’s core service delivery systems and channels through negotiating maintenance contracts with vendors to ensure Quality of Experience (QoE) and Key Performance Indicators are met.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and operational management for the backbone and core networks for TelOne.
- Formulates network infrastructure operational plans for the division in line with the vision, mission and objectives of the Division
- Formulates and reviews Technical Operational policies and procedures to support the Infrastructure Operations Business.
- Leads, manages, develops and supports the Infrastructure Operations team to ensure provision of day-to-day high quality ICT services and deliver on Specific network infrastructure operations projects.
- Leads planning and development of solutions that enhances client satisfaction, client retention, churn reduction, and increased service usage.
- Oversees the provision of innovative, efficient and effective support services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyses technology trends and develops infrastructure operations strategy, architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness.
- Ensures that Infrastructure Operations developmental projects are planned and delivered to an agreed specification, budget and timescale.
- Carries research and makes recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Ensures that third party and service support contracts are effectively managed and deliver maximum value to Infrastructure Operations at minimum cost.
- Completes all other related tasks as and when required.
Qualification and Experience:
- A Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications and/or Computer Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of telecommunications networks and technology, network operations, data center operations, operations support systems, and National Operations Centre (NOC)
- 10 years’ experience in Telecommunications industry with 5 years in a managerial position.
